Watashi Wa foi uma banda de pop rock cristão de San Luis Obispo, Califórnia, em Tooth and Nail Records. "Watashi wa" (私 は) Em japonês significa aproximadamente, dependendo do contexto, "Eu..." ou "Quanto a mim ..."

A banda foi formada em 2000, quando a maioria dos membros ainda estavam em sua adolescência. Eles foram os primeiros a assinar contrato com a gravadora independente Bettie Rocket e lançou dois álbuns antes de assinar Tooth and Nail, em 2002.

A banda se separou em julho de 2004, mas em um acordo com a Tooth and Nail Records o cantor e guitarrista Seth Roberts, assinou o contrato com o mesmo nome e lançou seu primeiro álbum Eager Seas sob o nome Watashi Wa. Eles posteriormente deixaram o nome.

A nova banda toca atualmente sob o nome de "Lakes"(Lagos) e assinaram contrato com The Militia Group e lançou o EP Photographs.
